Fishing Report 6/12/2022

Well the rain a few days ago bumped up the water levels and dropped the water temps so we got another weekend of trout! Conditions were tough but clients were able to hook into a few beauties the past week. Streamers were the hot ticket! We will be back to our regular scheduled programming of smallmouth going forward for the summer.

The streamer bite has been on! This style of fly fishing works great for higher water and for targeting larger fish. It is also a tactic we use for smallmouth fishing. It is a very action oriented style of fly fishing, constantly casting, stripping and covering territory. when the strikes happen it is usually very violent and sometimes right next to the boat. Streamer fishing for trout and bass is a great way to get the basics down if you ever wanted to dabble into striper or pike fly fishing.

The bass are post spawn right now and hungry! The topwater bite will be heating up so get a hold of us to book a trip for some smallmouth action!
